Katya Lopatko of The Hockaday School will be presenting her paper “Richard III: Pragmatist, Villain, Failure” at the 2014 Richard III Colloquium


The Oakridge School is thrilled to announce that Katya Lopatko of The Hockaday School will be reading her paper “Richard III: Pragmatist, Villain, Failure” at the 2014 Richard III Colloquium this March 21st. Way to go Katya! We look forward to seeing you this Friday!

Katya Lopatko is a senior at the Hockaday School, which she has been attending since seventh grade. She was born in Moscow, Russia on December 31, New Year’s Eve. Her favorite subjects are English and history, and next year she wants to major in International Relations but other than that, she is open to whichever direction life will take her. In addition to academics, she is the editor of Cornerstones, Hockaday’s yearbook, and swims on the Hockaday Varsity swim team. In her free time she enjoys painting, listening to music and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys listening to Vampire Weekend on repeat. Her favorite fruits are peaches, pomegranates and mango.

Katya will be presenting her paper during Session B of the 1st Block, “Exploring Richard III as the Stage Machiavel,” which will take place in the Boardroom located next to the Headmaster’s office in the upstairs part of the Upper School building.
