Kateland Brewster is currently a junior at Trinity Valley School (TVS) where she has been attending since eighth grade. Before this time she was a student at Hathaway Brown School for girls in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Her activities include field hockey, soccer, and track and field. Her honors include The Most Valuable Player and All SPC awards for girls’ soccer in 2013. Kateland enjoys hiking, surfing, and water sports and traveled to Costa Rica with TVS on an outward bound trip in 2013. Outside of school Kateland has spent time on mission trips in San Salvador, El Salvador and rural Belize, with plans to travel to Brazil this summer. Although Kateland’s academic interests have usually been in the fields of mathematics and science, she wants to thank Dr. Andrea Wright for opening her eyes to the world of writing and Shakespeare.

Kateland will be reading her paper during Session A of Block Two, “The Humanity and Villainy of Richard III,” which will meet in the Black Box Theatre located in the upstairs part of the Fine Arts building.
