Joshua Maymir
Cistercian Preparatory School
Joshua Maymir is a junior at Cistercian Preparatory School, which he has attended since 5th grade.  He enjoys both English and Literature, but is also interested in History and Philosophy. He has been an avid runner since 7th grade and is a Captain of the Cross Country team. He is also an Eagle Scout and is working on his Silver Palm. He follows politics and was fortunate enough to serve as an intern for his State Representative. Having read The Prince, he was intrigued by the connections between it and Shakespeare’s King Richard III which lead him to write his paper as an examination of Shakespearean thought on Machiavelli.

Joshua will be reading his paper during Session G of the 2nd Block, “Evaluating Richard’s Rule: Machiavellian Instructions and More,” which will take place in Upper School room 205 in the upstairs part of the Upper School building.
