Sam Tolbert (1996-????) is a square jawed and perfectly adequate excuse for a human being.  He enjoys long walks alone to and from the bathroom, cutting an occasional rug, and discovering whole new worlds through Young Adult Fiction. Sam’s intellectual heroes include George Orwell, Jon Stewart, and the musical stylings of Luther Vandross. While having committed to attend the University of Pennsylvania in the fall under a Division I Scholarship in Overthinking TV Shows, Sam is fully committed to his promise to Mama Tolbert to be in bed by nine and only date Jewish girls. His greatest motivation and inspiration was and will continue to be his crushing insecurities.

Sam will be presenting his paper during Session E of the 1st Block, “Gender Politics in Richard III,” which will take place in the upstairs part of the Library.

Geneva Taylor of Greenhill School will be presenting her paper, “Richard III as Propaganda,” at the 2014 Richard III Colloquium

Geneva Taylor is a Trekkie, a Whovian, and a Star Wars enthusiast, but is interested in far more than just sci-fi. She also enjoys making comics, memorizing random and completely useless trivia (did you know they found a new species of poisonous crustacean in Australia?), and being a senior at Greenhill School, where she has attended since kindergarten. Most of her time is spent studying, taking care of a gaggle of neighborhood dogs (plus a grumpy house cat of her very own), and playing trumpet. She hopes to major in computer science, or take over the world with an army of penguins. Whichever comes first.

Genny will be presenting her paper during Session G of the 1st Block, “Historical Contexts: Writing Richard III in the Elizabethan Era,” which will take place in Upper School room 205 in the upstairs part of the Upper School building.

Molly Anderson is a student seeking intelligent discussion off the beaten path-- but don't ask what side street she chose instead because she's horrible with directions. In her spare time, Molly enjoys dancing, dancing weirdly when she thinks no one can see her, spending time with her pets, and explaining to her extended family (again) that she actually does have friends. She is still awaiting admissions letters from nearly every college she's applied to, but hopes to someday pursue her lifelong dreams of becoming a published author/something that actually pays the bills, such as modeling. She's getting really, really close to being able to turn left.

Molly will be reading her paper during Session A of the 2nd Block, “The Humanity and Villainy of Richard III,” which will meet in the Black Box Theatre located in the upstairs part of the Fine Arts building.

Lewis Carlson of Greenhill School will be presenting his paper on one of Shakespeare’s most famous history plays at the 2014 Richard III Colloquium

The Oakridge School is thrilled to announce that Lewis Carlson of Greenhill School will be reading his paper on Shakespeare’s celebrated history play at the 2014 Richard III Colloquium this March 21st. We look forward to Lewis’s presentation this Friday!

Lewis Carlson is a senior at Greenhill School.  Lewis has really grown at Greenhill, beginning fifth grade at a measly 4 feet 8 inches and graduating at a whopping 5 feet 10 inches. His favorite color is navy blue and he suffers from Lachanophobia. He once asked a girl out on Facebook and she dated him for three years. He isn’t any good at distinguishing between high fives and fist bumps - so don’t ask for any. Lewis’ favorite subjects are history, English, and recess.  He is going to major in political science and economics, unless it is too hard.

The Oakridge School is excited to announce that Tiffany Giraudon of Greenhill School will be reading her paper on Shakespeare’s history play at the 2014 Richard III Colloquium this March 21st. Congratulations Tiffany!

Tiffany Giraudon is a small town girl trying to find her way in this big world. She has spent her entire life at Greenhill and can't imagine life without the peacocks! After 15 years at Greenhill she is excited to graduate and will be heading to SMU next year to study advertising and art. Tiffany enjoys Ax Cop, the food network, watching fish, and volunteering with Teen Contact and Community Partners of Dallas.

The Oakridge School is thrilled to announce that Greenhill School’s Caroline McCulloch will be reading her paper on Shakespeare’s famous history play at the 2014 Richard III Colloquium this March 21st. Congratulations to Caroline!

In her time at Greenhill, Caroline McCulloch has developed new interests and talents, as well as enhanced her knowledge of “Country Club Prep” fashion. She now knows what Sperry’s and coral shorts can do for a man. In her free time, Caroline enjoys reading, writing, drawing, and exploring Dallas. She also appreciates good movies, good music, and good food.  In the coming year, she plans to either attend college or road trip throughout the Southwest in a restored VW bus. She does not know what she wants to do with her life, but is open to the possibilities.

Isabet Tranchin is a senior at Greenhill who likes to talk about politics at the dinner table. She loves her Student Spotlight Column in the school newspaper, especially when people are so much more interesting than they let on, and interviewing and being interviewed are very entertaining. When she's not desperately trying to learn Chinese and explaining why she does not like soda, she spends her weekends tutoring her two wonderful girls at Gooch Elementary and horseback riding with her baby Kodak Moment on Saturdays. Sundays are for sleeping.  She is humbled to be President of Greenhill’s Sign Language Club, and hopes that she will never have language be a barrier between her and other people. She is very grateful to be born with English as a first language since she does not think she could have ever mastered it otherwise. Writing is important to her.

Grant was born and raised in the great city and state of Dallas, Texas, and he is a current senior at Greenhill School; he has attended Greenhill since 1^st grade. Grant has committed to play for the men’s tennis team at Harvard University next fall and is ranked amongst the top tennis players in the nation. Among Grant’s favorite things on Earth, he’d say the notable ones are taking long walks on the beach, writing poetry, electronic/dance music, drinking Inca Kola, hanging with friends, eating steak sandwiches, speaking Spanish over a nice cappuccino, motivational quotes and speeches, and doing athletic/active things. He is a passionate and energetic individual who enjoys traveling and meeting new people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Grant feels like he is writing a third-person EHarmony profile description while writing this bio.

Nick Kraus is a senior at Greenhill School, a school that he has attended since 5^th grade. Nick’s favorite hobby is tracking the weather. He says that the most attractive quality that he looks for in a partner is a comprehensive knowledge of severe weather and atmospheric patterns. Nick enjoys running, posting Instagrams, and deleting them if they don’t receive a satisfactory amount of likes. Nick is unsure about what he will study in college next year, but expects political science to be involved somehow. At Greenhill, he holds positions in student council, the improv troupe, and the temporarily defunct Ecology Club. He would like to thank Mr. Colley, Mr. Garza, Dr. Moreland, and all other teachers organizing this colloquium, where he will share his paper on the connections between Machiavelli and Richard. He is looking forward to meeting the other talented students who will be attending.
